Fixing public transport would solve so many of Germany’s issues to be fair

It’s a fun idea but not that useful outside of giving news outlets something quirky to report on

I really hope this will catch on for once, it could be a great solution for all those people who insist they have to do domestic flights… (in countries like Germany which aren’t that big comparatively speaking)

In my company we already use a standardised Windows 11 Enterprise image, so the Windows 11 Pro licences that come with most PCs are of absolutely no use to us (apart from when we resell them, and even then you can get OEM keys legally for a couple of Euros so they’re not worth much).

As far as I know only Lenovo is offering to omit the Windows licence off some of their computers, but only if you buy online of course.

Even if that’s true it doesn’t invalidate the 10% market share, I doubt that all 57% of Windows machines are actual users.

This is where I stopped reading. We’re looking at OS X, which was replaced by macOS in 2016, at 21.14%, while macOS itself sits at 8.6%.

Statcounter says on their market share page for macOS that they can’t really reliably show usage stats for anything past 10.15, due to a bug in Apple WebKit. The actual market share of macOS is very likely much higher.

If you want people to buy new stuff, making that stuff different from the old stuff they already own would be a good idea.
