I've started looking into whether it's possible to become a monk. I have no interest in any type of religion. I just want to be left alone in a quiet space for a long time.

@fesshole Don't monks have loads of practical duties on top of lone personal contemplation?
Maybe Stylite would be a more suitable occupation. It's probably due for a comeback.
