Anything newer than Hackney 1.20 is such a broken mess. Probably being vibecoded with how things are changing quickly and releases getting pushed.
First checkout timeouts break, then happy eyeballs causes connection to be stuck for 5+ seconds on start and now pooling is completely different (worse) and proxying is barely functional.

@silverpill That isn't a solution since they are here to stay no matter if you like them or not. Eventually it will be nearly impossible to differentiate what was written by a human and what wasn't.
Unless you can come up with good technical arguments why they shouldn't be used at all that aren't "but my copyright and licensing", "it's killing the planet", or "it can't write good code" and convince a good chunk of the community with them, that simply will not happen. Otherwise it's creating the divide where the constant LLM evercomplainers look like lunatics to someone outside. As they usually are.
That spam will be an issue isn't a convincing argument either since we have email spam for decades and more recently indian pr spam. Nobody really cares about that unless they are on the receiving side.
