Hey so, genuine programming question.

I want a language made for GUI applications that is not HTML/XML-based. It can still be a markup language; my main hangup with the "XML style" is how often you have to repeat yourself, how obscured information becomes under the length of tags, and how annoying it is to change tags. I do appreciate descriptive elements, and I am willing to make my own API based on a different markup language if it comes to it.

Is there something like this?

Scrivenix—a Flatpak application that downloads and installs the Windows version of Scrivener plus WINE on any Linux that supports them. Has a GUI installer that includes License activation (you need a license key for the Windows version to do this).

This is a steamroller for the main obstacle that's been keeping me off moving to Linux for ages. Now I just have a bunch of Macs and no reason to buy a new PC (yet).

Then another classmate walked in, the one that had been single-handedly responsible for setting up the school's recycling program. He took one look at the bully, pointed, and said "That could be recycled."
