In the 2000s technology was exciting because it told you "You can now do more with me, Imma let you express yourself like never before"
Now it's scary because it tells you "You're too stupid to do it, let me do it for you, *I* know what you want or need"

Cut the bottom off a soda bottle, take the cap off & plant the bottle upside down, buried most of the way in compost. Same kind of deal, but water only seeps out of from the neck of the bottle

Thinking back to high-school when an obnoxious bully was pestering @vikxin and she responded by pushing said bully away, who fell backwards into a trashcan (said bully honestly deserved worse)

Then another classmate walked in, the one that had been single-handedly responsible for setting up the school's recycling program. He took one look at the bully, pointed, and said "That could be recycled."
