Did you know that adding a single layer of old books to your walls can insulate an average home from the terrible reality of the world outside.

So... after almost a decade of failure in the online regulation space, perhaps some legislative navel gazing is finally about to take place...
I encourage every single person negatively affected by the #OnlineSafetyAct to submit evidence here:
If your freedom of expression, security or privacy has been curtailed in any way, however minor, submit evidence.
That includes people who have been forced to submit data to unregulated third party age verification processors.
That includes people who have had to remove content from their blog or website for fear of censorship and legal harassment by Ofcom - an unelected quango.
That includes people who have felt that their speech or artistic expression has been limited.
I will be submitting evidence as a website/service operator.

@matttutt I'll never stop talking about capitalism's consequences. Naomi Klein shows in The Shock Doctrine how the ruling class uses crises, wars, disasters, collapses to push policies that wouldn't pass otherwise. Disaster capitalism.
Fires are natural, but the scale is not. Monocrops for profit. Fossil fuels for profit. Hollowed out communities. The system turns a natural cycle into a catastrophe.
We keep fighting, naming the system, and building what comes next. Solidarity ✊❤️

I've switched to another symposium for the next talk
The speakers are trying to get to their PowerPoint slides to show them, and it is like seventeen steps of two-factor and Microsoft redirects to websites they don't need (like opening a Copilot tab when they just want PowerPoint)
