So shut it down with methods outside the law. A brick is a brick.

That’s the point. AI was never meant to succeed. It’s a ransom. They are willing to kill the hostages so to speak.

Fine. New rule, anything that’s your fault and costs a company money you get to pay for out of your golden parachute, your pension, your savings, anything. You caused a problem to save money this quarter forsaking the next quarter when you aren’t there? Screw off.

What’s extra ridiculous is VPNs are not that hard. I am fantastically awful with networking and even I can wrap my head around a WireGuard tunnel.

Oh good. They made an “anger boomer” button.
Marketing isn’t designed to be effective. It’s designed to be hated. While we bitch about this. Spider man and BMW keep being mentioned. The marketing people got what they wanted by being invasive and arguably abusive to their customers.

No, they think shareholders want it. They don’t care about consumers at all. The shareholders are the only people companies care about. The consumer doesn’t matter at all.

Fine, put it in park in a drive through. Suddenly McDonald’s bans BMW drivers from the drive through because it won’t go into gear until the commercial ends, which becomes more of a a problem than either brand wants to admit. The internet does what it does and now BMW becomes the new Chevy Beretta.
Let’s play this game. I am powered by spite and way too much accumulated PTO.

That’s only fun for idiots and only once or twice.
The insurance industry, on the other hand, will have a field day.
I dream of the day all marketing people are flung into a mass grave.

Apples business models has always been about figuring out why something a competitor did flopped then fixing the flaw (either by improving the tech or just better marketing and management). The industry feeds apple as much as they steal from it. It’s a slow grown company.
Microsoft is basically “we were really aggressive back in the day, established a monopoly everybody hates, and cannot figure out how to compete with modern alternatives in a way that won’t piss off investors”.
Apple is no saint, but they never lied about what they were doing. Microsoft, on the other hand, deserved everything that happened to them.
