My most vivid memory of the 1999 #eclipse is that you could see it projected naturally pretty much everywhere. As such, for this one I hadn't bought special glasses or gone looking for a colander or even really thought about it until after it started. And the garden fence in the shadow of a rose bush didn't disappoint.

The forecast was terrible, but we managed to find a kinda sorta cloud free area in the totality zone in Iceland. Special thanks to the dense cloud banks that politely waited until ten minutes after the end of totality to roll in. #eclipse #astrophotography

I got some good photos of the partial eclipse in Zürich today, but to be fair all of them were... eclipsed (😎) by this once in a lifetime unplanned shot from a friend of mine. Luck + preparation always wins.
