GrapheneOS defends use of AI for coding
GrapheneOS is currently defending its use of AI coding tools on Mastodon against complaints by various accounts claiming to be users.

A large number of people are using it as an opportunity to promote using operating systems which are the direct opposite of hardened and are much more heavily using AI models including for a lot of code generation.
LineageOS is certainly using it. CalyxOS, /e/ and iodéOS are based on it. CalyxOS is developed by LineageOS core developers.

It’s not infighting (oh well, if you want to see that, check any other post from GOS when they talk about privacy and security of other Android distros…). They quite legitimately ask why GOS using AI to detect vulnerabilites has triggered such a shit-storm while every other distro accept LLM generated code and no one seems to care.
