Thanks, I’ll give Cockpit a try.
Making a ssh terminal available to a browser seems a bit risky.

Suggestions for something like btop that I can use to monitor my server, but through a web page. Go!

For the few times I use a web interface, I've tried to get myself into the habit of using 'open in new tab' or window. But I'm an old dog.

I'm genuinely curious if it's a technical limitation or what? It's the reason I almost exclusively use apps.
How do people live like this?!

I think I solved it. Although I had curated onboarding on, I also had OPEN_REGISTRATION="true", which I guess overrides INSTANCE_CUR_REG. Oopsie. 🤷♂️

More likely Palantir.
Curious. I have INSTANCE_CUR_REG="true" on my #Pixelfed instance, yet today I noticed there were two users on there that I wasn’t aware of and didn’t approve. How?

This is excellent, thank you.
I wonder if @MastodonEngineering is working on a potential solution?

Well, yes.

Ok, but who’s getting mailbombed? Are they directing the signup approval emails at targeted inboxes? And do confirmation emails even get sent if an instance is set to manual approvals?

It seems to be something about generating signup request emails. They’re not having success though so why persist?

@TrueNorthSpice
Unlikely. And unnecessary. You don’t need an account to read Mastodon posts.
86ed another 80 signup requests from this ‘Automated protocol deliverability probe’ bullshit.
What’s the game here? What are they getting out of this?

I'm running under docker, so the Mastodon DB is running in its own dedicated container.
Nevermind. I didn't mean to draw you into a tech-support conversation. I'll just live with the bots until they implement a fix in the software. 😀
Thanks for your time.

Hi again! So I got tired of dealing with these bot signups and attempted what you suggested. This is the output:postgres=# ALTER TABLE public.user_invite_requests
ADD CONSTRAINT invite_block_spam_bot
CHECK (text NOT ILIKE 'Automated protocol deliverability probe');
ERROR: relation "public.user_invite_requests" does not exist
Any ideas?

Ok, so I’m reconsidering my position on this. Where would I enter these commands. And how would I undo these actions later, if I chose to?
