I need a scanner so badly .. I literally wait for the sun to come out to take photos of my physical work on my phone and this is a TERRIBLE strategy in the PNW lmaoo

If you get one, I'd suggest considering Epson. I've used their flatbed scanners personally, and we have their document scanners where I work. They've been very reliable and produce nice sharp images.

(And then I find out they've discontinued some of the models people loved.)
