What do you use for alerting?

… specifically, the thing to deliver alerts from your servers to your phone or whatever. I’m using Discord, because it doesn’t depend on my own infrastructure, and I can make a private “alerts” channel on my private server. But I’d like to switch to something that’s not Discord. I’m using alertmanager, FWIW.

I use Munin for monitoring and XMPP for alerts via go-sendxmpp. That way I just configure munin like this:

contact.admin.command go-sendxmpp -u [bot_username] --password [bot_password] [contact]

And that sends me messages to my main XMPP account whenever my servers breach a limit

munin-monitoring.orgMunin MonitoringMunin is a networked resource monitoring tool that can help analyze resource trends and what just happened to kill our performance? problems. It is designed to be very plug and play. A default installation provides a lot of graphs with almost no work.
