Got my start in the 14.4 days.
Same here! The family computer’s first modem was 14.4Kbps. The sound of it connecting is burned into my memory.
Wow, I couldn’t even hold my head up at 14.4 days.
lol the first time I was using a computer was on my grandfather’s PC running DOS 2.0 on dual 5” floppy drives.
I went from a 1200 baud to a 28.8. It was like driving a supercar at the time.
