My *arrstack is setup properly but downloading is not working

I have a well configured arr stack , i am sure of this because i used YAMS (Yet Another Media Server) to get it to work , but when i try to download using qbittorent the downloads don’t go through like 90 % of the time . Most of them just end up getting stuck like in the picture .

Not all of them get stuck like that , i was able to download some albums from Lidarr , but really it’s a hit and miss and most of the time it’s a miss. :(

If you have an arr stack , have you faced this kind of problem before ? if so how did you handle it ?

If your downloads are getting stuck then no, it’s not set up properly. Double check your filters and custom format rules. Also, you can use Cleanuparr to automatically remove stalled downloads and trigger a new search.

I see , so your downloads don’t get stuck like that most of the time?

Well, no. If they do because I’m looking for something more obscure, cleanuparr removes the dead torrent on its own. Check your indexers in prowlarr. You probably need to add some more to get decent results that have more seeders.

Glad to hear it! I’d also recommend using a blacklist file to filter out file formats that you know shouldn’t be there if you’re downloading movies/tv shows. In public trackers it sometimes happens that there are malicious and have a .exe virus with the name of the movie lr latest episode. Using a blacklist you’re able to easily filter that out.

Don’t worry i use Arch BTW . so those are like cute harmless puppies for me lol

They might be, but they still block the download of the actual episode or movie you were trying to get :)

Btw, Sonarr was recently updated and you can now create a Releases profile that automatically blocks malicious torrents! The whole process of setting up the arr stack can be a bit much at first, but once you get it going it’s super satisfying to see everything working :)
