Serious and important question to all #Linux users, in particular #Fedora users (in particular #Fedora44 if this makes any difference)
It looks like I will be needing to swap back to using an Nvidia graphics card (RTX 2060). Is it still a miserable experience with drivers? And if so, how do I make it not so miserable that I get PTSD?

@techokami At least on Arch, using the "nvidia opensource" drivers (which are not "nouveau") work nicely on my 3060...
Edit: 3060, not 2060 sorry

@Soblow oh yeah I forgor they made an open source driver and got it in the kernel
I switched to an Intel card before they did that because AMD and Intel had drivers in the kernel. But if the in-kernel driver is good then it should be painless now? I hope

@techokami I mean, I never had issues with opensource nvidia drivers with my 3060 on Arch since I have this setup, but I run X11 (i3wm) so that's a biased experience~
But yeah, for me it was painless and flawless!

@Soblow Oh, good
so yeah if this is the case, then my plan for tomorrow is:
1) Fish out my RTX 2060
2) Swap my A770 out for it
3) Nuke my mangled NetBSD install
4) Fresh install NetBSD
5) Get things going enough that I can try and start doing a migration
