Meta’s Muse Is Spying on All Your Friends and Family: "They're trying to know you like a friend, which is honestly pretty creepy."

Five years ago I would have cared. These days I simply assume and accept that if I go online I abandon all hopes of privacy. It’s a trade-off - they know that I like blonde roast coffee…I get to my preferred products faster. My days of tinfoil-hats are over but to each his own of course.

As much as I hate to say it, I agree with ya. My only hope is that I’m boring enough that nobody bothers to bundle up and purchase all my data

Lol, I’m sort of doing the same thing. My browsing history must be some the most boring ever. They want it they can have it.

It doesn’t matter how boring you are. You are still a voter and a consumer to be squeezed maximally for profit and to be diverted from revolting and chopping billionaires heads off, just like every other person on earth

And, as I said, I’ve accepted that I abandon hopes of privacy when I’m online these days. And your ‘idea’ about diversion is far from internet-only it runs through education, off-line media, literature, art and social constructs.
Also, I have a friend that is a couple of hundred millions away from being able to call himself a billionaire but when/if he gets to that I’m fairly sure I’d very much prefer his head to remain on his shoulders.
