So when are we going to start saying “the 20s” instead of “the 2020s”, we gotta make it cooler

People already refer to the 2010s as “the tens” so I imagine sometime between 2030 and 2035 people will start calling the 2020s “the twenties”

This all day. Have to get to the next decade to start having “the 20’s” replace the 1920’s in references to history. Only other way was for people talking about future tense of things to come. Young Gen Z and Gen Alpha will have the easiest time in just thinking of this decade as “the 20’s” since they haven’t been around for last century.
