A friend pointed out something about the "Little Weird Guys in FOSS" list that was bothering me but I hadn't articulated: lots of queer people describe themselves as "weird", and lots of transmascs who didn't get T until after puberty self describe as "weird little guys" in a charming way.

So if you are such a person and are like "why the hell is my self-descriptor being used with a list of people like, Eric Raymond," I just want to say...

From a transfem weird tall lady of FOSS, I love and appreciate all our transmasc weird little guys in FOSS!

@cwebber (To just put the context here for people who don't have the exact same cultural background as the makers of the list, they're doing the common FOSS (and other cultures) thing of "oblique reference to some other context", and are specifically referencing a podcast by Cool Zone Media named "Weird Little Guys", about rank-and-file hate-crime-doing members of the far-right.)

(I assume you, Christine, specifically, possibly-more-than-50-50 know this, but to put this in the comments for other people.)
(Also to be clear this is a "here's context that I didn't see mentioned" and not a "you should know this before having an opinion/reaction" -- you should absolutely have an opinion/reaction before knowing this factoid, it would be completely silly to expect people to know oblique references as a condition of having opinions about how they feel about names/terms used, and would be destructive to the community.)
