Folks, does anybody know about a good enough speech-to-text solution for #Linux? I'm super skeptical about Linux desktop accessibility in general, but asking for a friend @gemlog. the person is sighted, so no particular requirements on screen reader accessibility. Thanks! #Accessibility #LinuxDesktop

@menelion @gemlog When my hands were busted, I used Speech Note. It uses local AI and sucks in the ways AI transcription sucks but it's pretty unavoidable nowadays and it's certainly better than a lot of the other AI transcription tools out there.

@menelion @gemlog talonvoice reached 1.0 a few days ago. bit of a learning curve, but pretty good at least on Windows where I tried it. Definitely works on Linux as well though
