@feld yeah especially in hellthreads... . also, in-form pills and emoji.

@lain what branch is this on? I want to use it

@feld https://git.pleroma.social/lambadalambda/pleroma-fe-a-la-mode/src/branch/a-la-mode

@feld system-matching color schemes, scheduling and autodelete.

@lain @feld They turned pleromafe into slop CC @yomiel it's coming for pleroma too

@meso @feld

@yomiel @feld @meso i thought mitra does mastodon api

@lain @feld @meso @yomiel FE is not officially supported though (probably would require more porting on the FE side).

@phnt @feld @lain @yomiel are any of these good cuz they all sound gay as hell also how 2 federate moar

@yomiel @phnt @feld @meso if you're retarded i guess

@lain @phnt @feld @yomiel TRVKE

@lain @feld @phnt @yomiel the idea is good but someone who actually gives a shit shouldve made it

@meso @phnt @feld @yomiel no the idea is bad, social networks are applications, not documents

@lain @phnt @feld @yomiel the idea of a lightweight UI that doesnt bug out all the time and is slow as shit is good. and if it was responsive like an app itd be great

@meso @phnt @feld @yomiel i'm all out of opinions for today

@yomiel @phnt @feld @lain b-but kang look at this its like heckin 4chanerino https://codeberg.org/nak/chan-fe

@meso @phnt @feld @yomiel installing reddit-fe RIGHT NOW

@lain @phnt @feld @yomiel chanfe actually looks polished id rather use that

@meso @phnt @feld @yomiel yeah i like it too

@lain @feld where's character limit counter, lebowski?

@hj @feld only appears when you're close to it

@lain @feld where tho

@hj @feld

@lain @feld are you going to make an MR with those changes & could you please ration them by fixes/features/etc instead of one big blob?

@hj @feld changes are rather self contained, we can port a few, but this is more of a coherent change. i think some changes are sensible for upstream but not all.

@lain @feld @hj I can already see the complaints about how much it deviated from the original design :D

@phnt @feld @lain there's no such thing as "original design" when your UI is fully theme-able

anything resembling a style must be stripped of identity so it could be themed

@hj @phnt @feld this removes nearly all theming, but obviously not all of the features touch this.

@hj @feld @lain I mean the layout. It's very Mastodon-esque compared to what the FE composer was like for years.

@phnt @feld @hj yeah that was a big inspiration, makes it less of a space cadet interface. matter of taste i think.
