@Cal @energisch_ @hannah though before pay & display machines asked for the car registration to print on the ticket, you'd often see a few tickets with time left on them stuck to the machine for other people to reuse

Like if you'd paid for 4 hours but only used 2, pay it forward.

@hannah ISTR a story about a guy who collected parking fees at a council car park for ~20 years. Then one day he stopped turning up and people called the council to ask about the attendant and how to pay, and the council said "Attendant? We've never had an attendant there."
