I like how they only have 2 seats. Whenever I take a cab, I’m looking to have 1 seat for me and maybe 1 other person. I don’t ever want to take my kids or friends with me. More braindead bullshit from the dipshit fascist.

@Earthwormjim91@lemmy.world They may have more of them now (probably 4 seats usable really) but since their current fleet is tiny you can't really deduce anything about what their fleet composition is going to be going forward from it.

The robotaxis are just regular consumer model Ys. They have 5 seats. They’re literally exactly the same as every other model Y on the road. They just have a dumb “Robotaxi” paint scheme in the cybertruck font on them.
They’ve been operating those for about a year and have about 10x as many of those as the new cybercabs.
I was just in Austin where there are a million of them. Like every 10th car on the road was either a Robotaxi or a Waymo. I rode in them.
They’ve explicitly stated their plans. The two seater cybercabs, regular model Ys, and an autonomous 20 passenger van.
