I don't really get who thought touchscreens on ovens were great ideas. We promptly declared ours inaccessible and used it to store food we couldn't fit in the cupboards that we wanted to keep away from the cat, only said monster routinely stomp-activates many of the touchbuttons, including often enough the child lock, which we use to keep the oven from burning our apartment down by accident. I think deactivating the child lock is just press-and-hold one button for a few seconds, which turns out to be so easy that a cat can do it. Here's hoping we don't die in fire.

It just happened. Our murderous cat jumped onto the oven, turned it on, and set it to 170. I'll say it again, with feeling. Who the fuck thought touchscreen ovens were a good idea?
