I'm concerned that the US government is starting to identify decentralized media infrastructure as a threat to its survival. Repost information about this broadly, and if you have media contacts, inform them of counter-narratives; there could come a time where the fediverse, or any decentralized network infrastructure, is a target as well if we don't sound the alarms now.

@cwebber The morally correct thing for these Italian businesses to do is tell the U.S. to piss off, ideally with the words "we don't negotiate with terrorists."

This is a time for institutions around the world to consider real fucking seriously if they want their participation in U.S. clown-hegemony to be a precedent going forward as we completely descend into a mad fascist cult around a geriatric narcissist.

@MaddieM4 @cwebber the problem is that most European banks are too scared of pissing off the US to not immediately debank you for being sanctioned.

Now, “As a matter of principle, the EU considers the extra-territorial application of sanctions contrary to international law.”, and they can just overturn foreign sanctions and prohibit their enforcement, but last time I checked they didn't use this for the Hague ICC judges so I doubt they would use it for anyone else.
