YouTube Premium is getting yet another price hike for users across the globe
www.dexerto.com/youtube/youtube-premium-is-getting-yet-another-price-hike-for-users-across-the-globe-3401541/As much as I hate this, yt premium is probably one of my most used services of anything streaming. I suck at lot of bytes down from them so I guess at least I might be getting what I pay for?

The trick is to use family plan. I and bunch of friends made one, each pays around 4€.
EDIT: Just make sure you actually live in the same city.
Nor will it, to be honest. I don’t see Google shooting themselves in the foot like that.
Netflix did something similar with the password crackdown a few years ago and while it worked out in their favor, I don’t foresee YouTube having the same results. YouTube isn’t really providing much of a service aside from removing ads, so chances are if they crack down on that, it’s not going to equate to people in other households buying a membership to continue it. It’s just going to be less income/revenue. YouTube would need to bet on at least two of the people running family plans are going to convert over to a YouTube premium account. Which I don’t think is a safe bet for the prime canadates that went out of their way to set up the family plan, because if they were going to do that they would have done it in the first plac
For sure. I’ve already contemplated switching to a different streaming service for music, but while I have YT premium I’ll keep using YT music, although they keep making that interface worse and worse. My YT consumption will just plummet to only a couple of channels, and I’ll just work through my backlog of the terabytes of media I have on my Plex server. Hell, might even go outside and see what that’s all about, but I don’t want to rush into anything.
