We really need to name and shame all the politicians who signed off on these things so they don’t get elected again.
They also need to not run unopposed… or it won’t matter.

Definitely for local town and even a lot of state positions. If I lived in any location long enough I would be inclined.
I’ve joked about finding unopposed spots and running against them. Not because I want to win, but just because I want to force them to actually work for their spot.
