so are we all going freebsd then?

@ret We've got an openbsd VM somewhere, it's not half bad. Except for the bizarre filesystem stuff. and disklabels. disklabels are funky.

@IceWolf @ret that feels like something you only look at a few times, during install/setup & then leave it be

@IceWolf @ret day to day "does it have the software I'm looking for" & "do I like the feel of using it?"

@patterfloof @ret openbsd DOES have KDE 6! somehow!!

not sure how complete its repository is overall, though.

@IceWolf @patterfloof @ret It's incomplete, so the user experience is worse than on FreeBSD.

But it's still smoother than using GNOME on OpenBSD on low-spec machines.

@caohuak @patterfloof @ret KDE's incomplete y'mean, or?

Wonder how it compares to FreeBSD (does it have KDE?). We've never messed with FreeBSD much.

@IceWolf @patterfloof @ret Some software packages aren't available on OpenBSD, so there isn't as much software as there is on Linux.

As for FreeBSD, it has excellent support for KDE, and it has supported Wayland for a long time.
