Browser support for flash ended a long time ago, I doubt there are that many companies still using flash internally.

Many flash applications used to came as executables +swf. There are many companies using software like this. Flash wasn’t only about browsers.

It’s probably working as it is. Sounds like you’re just going to introduce a bunch of new and exciting bugs in a PR too big for anyone to review for a component that still no one will own.
