Heck yeah we're watching Masters of the Universe 😁

(Maybe we didn't have enough of swords and sandals and sorcery with Hawk the Slayer this morning?)

An image of a cosmic rainbow disappearing into a starry sky overload with the credit: "Directed by Gary Goddard"

From the original 1980s Masters of the Universe

"We could be on any planet in the galaxy!"

What potential, but instead they're on Earth.

Tho suddenly - Courteney Cox?! 😁

Even as a kid I don't remember being terribly excited by this movie - especially after the impressive reimagining of Castle Grayskull and its throne room, to then give all that up to be in a mundane place.

Frank Langella is taking advantage of that huge expensive throne-room set and going NOMNOMNOM. He's no Raul Julia, but his Skeletor is less camp and more menacing.

Meg Foster plays a good Evil-Lyn, tho it wasn't this movie, but Leviathan that I saw most of growing up. There she is in the far more evil role as a callous deep sea mining executive.

Skeletor and Evil-Lyn from the 1987 film, Masters of the universe.

Frank Langella is wearing prosthetics to give him more of a white fleshy exaggerated skull look with hanging cheek bones and an open nose cavity.

Evil-Lyn looks like she's having the most delicious time. She wears black and gold headdress and black, silver and purple outfit. Her eyes have great makeup and she has deep red lips.
