I, too, am generally in favor of virtuously-sounding limitations placed upon demographics I am not a part of and never will be.

But a demographic they all were and most will one day not be. Yes, there are overly parented kids; and yes our system makes the stair step function of responsibility incredibly steep. But there will be plenty of time for scrolling and phones, screens in general in classrooms are not the curl all we thought they were.
