i’ve had a little experiment over the years of bookbinding using bare pcbs as book boards and it works well but i just need to keep practicing my stitches. I did some case binding years ago, but need to explore adhesives for that. Recently I’ve some coptic style binding thats a perfect use case and no adhesives but my stitching is sloppy. pictures below are a couple notebooks i made using ewaste destined bare pcbs from my old job as book boards

@chipperdoodles so good! I have been thinking of doing this for ages! I was thinking of using the brake off pieces to make a cover where you sorta weave a layer of something between them sorta like a totami mat style

@liaizon oh i really like that idea, good reuse of the rails if you ever get to it i would like to see!. did you see my case binding example (i think its hidden in the replies somewhere)? im trying to work in the anti static plastic bags but it needs adhesives which im trying to figure out low tech or low cost solutions for

@chipperdoodles would be interesting to see how much of the bags would be melted to bind the rails together. I have been saving as much of both as possible for the past years so I have a big quantity of both
