Today I learned: On Windows 11 at least, Windows+Shift+Dash types an em dash (—). Have yet to find any other combo like this that does anything similar.

@TheQuinbox Wow, that's something new! I've been using a tiny JAWS script of mine for years to type it, because I was an em dash person far before AI.

@menelion I used to use the built-in Word keyboard command all the time. MDash was a valid grammatical punctuation, not tjust the way LLMs use it. In most cases, they use it incorrectly. This keyboard command is nice to have though. I can get rid of one of my NVDA addons. @TheQuinbox

@ppatel @TheQuinbox But I use various such punctuation, like correct quotes in French, Ukrainian, and Russian, everywhere, not only in Word, so this addition is a very nice thing.

@menelion Oh I completely agree. These days, I rarely use Word to do anything at all. That's why I was using the NVDA addon. @TheQuinbox
