Scanning the beer aisles in Asda & some of these sound lush, but I'm not in a 7% mood
I know IPAs get strong but sometimes it's "calm down lads, I want a normal beer for a normal person"

@patterfloof I definitely feel like there's an oversaturation of strong IPAs, particularly when it comes to microbrewery stuff.
It does feel a bit like there's a gender thing going on where a lot of microbrewers are men who gravitate to the type of brews they feel affirms their masculinity in some way, which often seem to translate to very strong and bitter ales.
And like, I prefer ale to lager, I'm not at all arguing against strong and bitter ales, but like, surely not all of them needs to be that? It's nice to have options.

@Owlor yeah, I like a good ipa but if I'm out for more than a couple of beers, I want something more moderate that's not gonna drop me in 2 pints
