Zero proof, but to me this reeks of them being influenced to avoid supporting unions. Someone follow the money, I bet you’ll find someone who stands to lose a lot if unions become popular in the US again, and has threatened to not support anymore.

Someone who’s wallet makes their “vote” much much more impactful than the rest of us.
