@FlockOfCats Oh god. My grandmother had this humungous unabridged dictionary, and I did read it as a kid. Oh god.
@aspeed @FlockOfCats Yup, there was a big old one in the dining room when I was a kid at home, used to find a word, then pick another from the definition and go and look at that one, and so on. I have it somewhere waiting to finally have a real home as pride of place on a bookshelf.
