Shocking but not unexpected :( I hope he’s able to find justice.

Justice against a cop in America? LMFAO

An internal audit revealed Eder used police databases to monitor the victim over a five-month span.

Eder turned himself into the Potter County Jail and was released on a single, $4,500 bond for all 78 charges combined.

$4500 for 78 charges?? People get higher bail for selling weed.

cop= discount jail scentence, and discounted fines.

Probably will get more PTO

It’s coming. The first case where somebody kills a cop in self defense.

Ummmmmmm

What’s my take away from this comment supposed to be?

It has happened.

When? I’m not aware of any cases. No cops were killed when they shot and killed Breonna Taylor.

There’s the Wilson shooting in Texas, but that guy was reckless, it wasn’t really self defence.

You dont hear about it. The people who killed in self defence are then killed by the backup.

You’re 3 comments into a conversation on the topic and none of us have actually heard anything about them.

Exactly, they murdered a cop. You will not be told that it was self defence.

Ah, conspiracies are all you bring to the table then. Bye

Bye yourself

Here’s one example although the cops lived. I do recall at least one or two other stories but can’t find them on Google and wouldn’t be surprised to learn they were buried intentionally. I thought one was in CO or somewhere in the Midwest from several years ago where a man shot a few cops who were at the wrong address.

Oil company exec was acquitted

https://reason.com/2023/11/21/marvin-guy-who-shot-a-cop-during-a-no-knock-raid-is-found-guilty-of-murder/

However, when you’re not an oil exec, you get convicted of murder

A little different than the scenario I had envisioned. One of these days the death won’t be a mistake.

99.99% sure that’s happened before, 99.99% sure it will happen again, 99.99% sure the other guy won’t survive. Or will get 50 years in jail (along with the six people closest to him).

Three Generations punishment like in NK

Flock is not going to be meaningfully regulated until a cop deletes a whole family in a public way.

I would not be surprised if a cop had already done so privately and it’s just been covered up.

Though APD fired Eder on July 17, prosecutors officially refused to move forward with felony stalking charges in the case.

Typical, they are looking out for their own.

Because of that legal classification, the victim said the county attorney’s office initially told him it would be difficult for him to access standard victim advocacy services.

WTF??

off-duty access of active body cameras was not an unusual practice within the department.

Why the hell not?

Flock should be pushing for new regs here and for this guy to be prosecuted. It would make everyone more comfortable with the cameras.

Flock’s actual response.

Compromise on our security for your profits? Get bent!

I think stronger language might be called for here. 🤔

Oh, oh. I’ve seen this one before!

They should fuck off and cease to exist

Just an FYI, if a company is ever actively pushing for regulation where they are a part of the equation, you should be suspicious. Like in your example, they wouldn’t actually care about the regulation beyond the PR of “look look we think this shouldn’t be allowed either!”

Eh, regulations are generally in collaboration with the government and the governed. Smart industry partners know the political process provides air cover, legally and morally.

Flocks only part in this abomination was that it alerted police after scanning the plate. If the cop had entered the plate manually, the outcome would have been the same.

flock had no intention of doing that other than providing surveillance tech which feeds to palantir AI.

They taught us police,

Supposed to serve and protect,

They abuse and kill

I’m always so amazed to read these stories and then see absolutely zero response from Americans

This single story alone should cause people to protest in the streets until at least the prosecutors are fired for corruption and this guy jailed

Yet, crockets, this is just another day in another town in the USA

If you’re indoctrinated from childhood that you have achieved ultimate freedoms, the concept of fighting for said freedoms feels not just alien to you, but completely disconnected. You can’t even understand that you, an American, need to do something. It’s like explaining to a fish that water isn’t a universal constant. Except, this time fish was never actually in the water and is currently being deep-fried.

They know they will end up on a list. There are few overt revolutions.

Theres plenty of Americans having responses to this. They’re not a hive mind.

The media is lying by omission, and you are believing them. Or you are being paid to spread defeatism online. Which is it?

Zero response? People have been flooding town halls, cutting them down, cheering on people who sabotage them.

There’s plenty of responsiveness from the public, but a media blackout and obfuscative government.

1. spend a week doing suspicious shit
2. find a location that has no cameras
3. lure psycho to location
4. do it

Erm…I don’t think the psycho will respond well to me proposing we do it.

Depends on why he’s stalking you

Yeah, if he’s into raping people, consenting will ruin it for him instantly, and he will leave me alone.

As someone that’s been stalked twice before the flock cameras are terrifying. I’ve always been taught to keep my head down and avoid attracting attention but it just seems inevitable these days that someone is going to do this.

76 charges and 4500 bail.
