@johan Ну так редакторы умеют. Да и вообще в слайсеры обычно тащат не из 3D редактора вроде Blender (хотя такие тоже бывают), а из CAD для которого это абсолютно типичная задача.

Опять же, GPT из ОП написала модель для OpenSCAD, а потом им и отрендерила в STL. Собственно, STL - это, ЕМНИП, и есть меш из треугольников. Я просто в комменте выше впервые слышал чтобы это называли сеткой и подумал, что речь идёт о какой-нибудь сетке между элементами конструкции чтобы у роутера не отвалилась жопа 🤷

Но если где-то рядом лежит GPL - он может их этой свободы лишить.

Но мне не нравится, что это называют свободой. Если бы это называлось социальной обязанностью, скажем, меня это бы меньше смущало.

Но тут я бы выделил и сопроводил мемом вот этот кусок:

Мне в этом смысле лицензии вроде MIT всегда казались более свободными. Идеал - это вообще WTFPL.

@fatal_error Я пока что всё ещё ленюсь изучать FreeCAD, да и времени сейчас не очень много на это. Обычно клепаю в простом TinkerCAD, который очень ограничен, но и очень прост.
Но если займусь - надо будет не забыть, что такое есть.

Я тут собирался делать модельку для того чтобы подвешивать роутер на выгодной для приёма LTE позиции на даче и не имея роутера на руках обсуждал с GPT-5.6 его габариты и прочее.

Потом пояснил, что хочу сделать подвес. GPT предложила как его дизайнить. Я сказал, что для простоты хочу одну петлю по центру на сходящихся балках. GPT предложила поправки опять и спросила: "хочешь сделаю тебе спеку?".

Вспомнив, что где-то во времена GPT-5 или 5.1 я уже пытался просить её делать 3D модели даже более простые и это плохо заканчивалось. Но решил, что надо посмотреть что будет и сказал чтобы сразу сделала модель.

И сделала.

3D-печать становится ещё более доступной.

inb4: шутки про то, что модель сделала модель принимаются в комментах.

Platforms which consider themselves moral stewards tend to keep making moral decisions, and it's almost inevitable that they'll eventually make one that you heavily disagree with.

There are two problems with that:

• Moral decision doesn't have to be inaccessible or exclusive in other ways
• Unfortunately so called "moral" decisions are often just political and not based on real science or solid proofs.

First is simple: resources are limited and for developers of Forgejo it could not only be out of scope, but even out of their awareness.
Example of the second option is LLM usage rules some project introduce. There are a lot of controversy in this matter and despite some people claiming that it's "rather obvious that %insert_their_opinion_here%", every argument they'll give you (if they bother to) most likely will have opposing arguments. And they won't be interested in a productive discussion. They'll most likely just want to shove the thing they don't like under the rug and feel good about it.

And if this thread would be a bit more popular, I'd be ready to bet on "there's no moral AI usage" comment appearing under my comment which would've been a good proof of what I'm talking about.

Although I think that they leaned a bit more into the "anti-AI" movement, they shown consideration for both sides and tried to achieve something productive and inclusive. This deserves respect.
