I am deleting my Codeberg presence: accounts, mirrors, the lazy habit of treating a “nice” forge as neutral ground. Not because self-hosting got trendy. Because a slice of FOSS I once assumed still meant free software has turned into purity theater, copyright panic, and harassment of anyone who will not cosplay pre-industrial labor…

I am anti-copyright. I admire Aaron Swartz. The old hacker line was not subtle: information wants to be free; we are your worst nightmare. That meant universal access, not “free only when it flatters my identity as an artisan.”
...
The pirates became the copyright cops. The corpos became the accidental liberators. I am not licking OpenAI or anyone else. Profit is not virtue. The inversion is still real. The purity crowd flipped the second the information being liberated was theirs.
