@silverpill Using filter rules, is there a way to block federation with specific users? Sometimes an instance is largely fine, but there is just one or two users who need to be blocked.

@yuzuki @silverpill I think you can just mute them because non-instance block is similar mute.

@caohuak @silverpill That kinda sucks. I need to work on some better moderation / admin features for Mitra and put in a pull request.

Moderation features are absolutely essential to any social platform and I definitely need some more fine–grained controls.

@yuzuki How do you want blocks to be implemented?

The federation filter system is more thorough. For example, it can prevent user's messages from entering your server. But it affects all local users.

As @caohuak says, user-level blocks wouldn't differ much from mutes.
