🌊 Neptune's tiny inner moons may be fragments of much larger worlds.

JWST found hydrated minerals on their surfaces — materials that require liquid water interacting with rock. But these small, frozen moons couldn't have produced them themselves.

The evidence points to an ancient system of larger moons, potentially shattered after Triton arrived.
