@volpeon found it. shit like this makes me shudder in fear. how do people who are following a recipe not make it exact at least once before changing major ingredients or ratios.

A recipe review for a carrot cake on the Betty Crocker website. Reviewer: "carrots have way too much sugar so replaced them with shredded kale. cake turned out rather nasty so two stars.
