after the vietnam war, the vietnamese boat people went to western countries, but southeast asian countries like the thailand, malaysia, the philippines and indonesia processed them in refugee camps before they could go to the west

here are the remnants of one such camp

@lain most of the actual housing and support infrastructure has been demolished, the only things that remain relatively maintained are the religious institutions; the temples, the churches. and the gravesite of those who passed while waiting for their final stop.

states and governments may come and go, but god(s) are forever. the people may be gone, but their legacy and memories remain.
