I woke up early this morning and couldn't sleep. Figured I'd head out for a walk while the air was still cool.
The golden hour lead to some rather nice photo opportunities. Here's my favorite of the morning.

@rail I really agree
letting customers use bridge mode is okay-ish but wish I didn't have to still run an additional piece of hardware.
admittedly it's also why I keep being tempted to get a Milkywan connection, though I'd still have to use the provided ONT.

@rail TBF depending on the exact fibre equipment and standards used , it is actually a technical limitation on the upload side afaik. Especially on the 2Gbps setups with passive optical splitters. but even to some extent the 8Gbps, as the performance and power of the fibre SFP module used impacts it. They tend not emit with as much power as they receive.
Not allowing you to provide your own ONT tho is a problem of its own

@N33R mood, I accidentally took 72mg of concerta instead of prog one night a couple months ago
(and then took the prog as well.... turns out that amplifies it)

@asmcbain conveniently there is a frequent enough bus there, every 15min (unless they just delete one like they did when I went 😅)

@asmcbain I ended up getting the parcel today
by doing UPS' job for them
Replying to a post on woof.tech
@asmcbain UPS has done been doing silly stuff for the last few days for something i ordered. Parcel made its ways from the netherlands to france in a really quick time. But then, having asked for it be dropped off in a parcel point, they chose a place that doesn't even exist and google maps (turns out it does exist, but I only found that out yesterday)
So I asked for them to put it in a locker somewhere else. They confirmed that choice, only to not do it.
Then I find a "we missed you note" in my mailbox, only for them to bring it to that first parcel point.
Then yesterday, I get another "we missed you note", and the parcel is still not at said pickup point.
I went to check that place out yesterday, the guy there was just as confused as I was, and also said that he got some parcels from UPS friday, that they then picked back up the next day...
I have no idea what they're cooking
