That’s true. Search is slowly but steadily being replaced by AI, which makes SEO much less of a threat.

Edit: But on the other hand, it makes data set manipulation much more valuable. Instead of just trying to pump up the stats of ONE post, you have bot armies making hundreds of posts and comments to try to influence the training data. That’s actually worse.

If you want a compassionate grounding in living life without society-provided anchors, I can’t think of nobody better to guide you that Britt Hartley of the No Nonsense Spirituality Channel on YouTube. Though she’s primarily about religious deconstruction, she’s aware that humans survive by creating ANCHORS. “This thing is true and I can build my life around it.” Religion is one of our biggest anchors, but it can be anything–love of a child (who might have died), belief that work is the most important part of your life (but it might make you miserable), etc.

From your other post, it might be that one of your anchors, work, is actually making you quite unhappy but you’re having trouble letting go of it? This is the sort of thing that therapy would be great for theoretically, but either you find the right one or become your own therapist. “It is easier to become a good therapist than to find one.”"-- Daniel Mackler

Why do you feel trapped by the job you have? Can you get a different one?

Start living the life you want to live by thinking you deserve to have it, and things will start to flow better for you. Right now, it sounds like you are hugely distracted by how much you hate work and its keeping you from living your life.

Might be your have some unresolved thing happening, like you’re trying to win a war against yourself or your parents or someone. One great question I took away from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is: “What if you let the war go on without you?” That is to say, what if you just did what you wanted without feeling you had to resolve everything, win every battle, conclusively defeat every opponent? The war will still go on, it will still bug you on occassion, but you can go on building the life you want for yourself and that will give you a different perspective than the one you have now in the trenches.
