I extended the museum on the wall behind my desk a bit more. These are all prototypes and misprints. Quite the conversation starter especially in video calls.

The printer I got for exclusive use by me has crossed the 500h mark today. That's 7.5h per workday since we got it. Dayum! And this is after optimizing the settings for strength vs time and shaving off 40% print time from the beginning.

I added a 1-Wire EEPROM to a free pin on the fixture. Now I can query which adapter plate is used and detect adapter orientation. The left and right PCIe connectors are point symmetrical so you can rotate the adapter plate 180 degrees. This can help with testing panels larger than the fixture. The pin on the other side is used to detect when the fixture is closed.

Btw. I'm hiring. If you want to hack on test fixture mechanics, electronics, firmware, software, documentation, visit production lines, and just generally have a good time testing, provisioning and tracing hardware products, just ping me. I'm mainly looking for smart people that can program in Python and C/C++ in Zurich. It's not super complicated work, just gotta be diligent and pragmatic.
