Hey peeps! I am looking for a new full-time role as a Senior Product Engineer or Tech Lead, specialising in Ruby on Rails.

For the past couple of years, I have been building Cammi — a set of tools designed to help people who are neurodivergent get unstuck and work toward things that really matter to them. Now that it has launched and can continue in the background, I am ready to bring everything I have learned back into a collaborative product team. I love being close to the product: speaking to users, doing discovery, helping teams identify the most valuable problems, and then writing great code to solve them.

While at Florence, I had the opportunity to lead discovery, empower my team to do the same, and focus our engineering effort on the most impactful work. I would love to find a role where I can work in that way again.

My specialist stack is Ruby on Rails, which I have worked with all the way back to version 2. More recently, I have been working with a largely vanilla Rails approach, including Hotwire, Stimulus, and Hotwire Native. I have also become a big fan of Phlex — a gem for writing HTML using Ruby. Writing HTML in the same language as your logic just feels right and it feels so much nicer than ERB.

I am looking for a hybrid company and am based in East London, near Shoreditch. I really enjoy building relationships in-person with my colleagues, while retaining the flexibility to work from home. I am particularly interested in organisations that invest in people, care about thoughtful product development, and try to solve real user's problems.

My preference is a long-term permanent role working four days a week, although I am also open to contract opportunities.
