My car is a 2017 base with stick shift. No lane assist, just abs and traction control.

Git gud.

I cut my teeth on a '93 Geo Metro. Approximately 30 lbs wet, not weighed down by things like an automatic transmission or air bags or a tachometer. Had to learn the car’s language, listen when she told me to shift gears. God I miss that little toy car

I miss my girl too the 45mpg was top notch. Unfortunately my wife made me still it when I started driving on the highway everyday. I regret selling it.

ABS was the last good life-saving technology added to cars. That thing saved my dumb arse several times already.

Now I want to get a new car because the old one is getting too degraded, but I dread the fuckery I’ll find in new models. I just wanted a 3.5 cm audio jack and simple controls. I guess I won’t have much luck.
