Hate conversations like that. they expect you to know who they are after a double-figure amount of years, like it was just yesterday. Why?

Version 0.5.0 of Fedra, my and @Aryan's blazing fast mastodon client for Windows, is now released. Changelog:

• Account usernames are now properly resolved when replying to a post from a remote instance's local timeline.
• Added a hotkey customization dialog! It is now possible to change any keybinding in Fedra, for both the regular and quick key modes, through a simple and intuitive dialog.
• Added a sent timeline option, to bring up your current account's timeline in a buffer.
• Added a view timeline button to the hashtags dialog.
• Added an add to list option to the actions menu for a user.
• Added Ctrl+C as a shortcut to copy the focused post's link.
• Added page up and page down keyboard shortcuts to the timeline list, allowing you to move by 20 posts at a time.
• Added shortcut keys to controls in the compose post dialog.
• Added shortcuts to the media player dialog to speak your loaded track's elapsed, remaining, and total times, bound to e, r, and t respectively.
• Added the ability to customize your window title using a template.
• Fixed copying posts in user timelines.
• Fixed editing a post with the content-type set to markdown, you'll now be able to edit your original markdown content rather than the Mastodon-rendered text.
• Fixed link previews getting coppied when copying post text.
• Fixed opening user timelines from the local timeline of a remote instance.
• Fixed posts sometimes automatically rereading in the timeline list.
• Indentation in post bodies is now properly preserved.
• It is now possible to view the quoter's profile or timeline when on a quoted post, Similar to how boosted posts already work.
• Pressing the applications key in the followers or following dialogs will now bring up the actions menu.
• Removed the limitations on what timelines you must have open at all times. In other words, it is now possible to close your home and notification timelines if you so desire. Additionally added home and notification options to the timeline menu to bring them back.
• Timelines without proper web socket streaming support should now correctly refresh periodically.
• Trailing dashes and other junk are now stripped from the end of post bodies when copying them.

I'm releasing my first serious fully agentically coded project. Call it vibe-coding or slop if you want; it's true that I haven't yet reviewed the code, and I mostly let Claude write the documentation. But I'm being transparent about LLM usage, including a full Claude Code transcript.

The project is called axum-marko, and it's an integration of the Axum server-side web framework for Rust and the Marko 6 frontend language/compiler, with a forum app as a demo. https://github.com/mwcampbell/axum-marko

I've now got Paperback on macOS auto updating! You have to move the .app into your applications folder, but it shows you the release notes, downloads it for you, and mounts it. Plus, the app is properly signed, so no gatekeeper warnings or anything, just the standard "this app was downloaded from the internet" warning you get from any new Mac app for the first time. That was fun.

@lnkr У меня получается UTC+2 на летнем времени. Насчёт в реальном времени не факт, что получится заморочиться, но показать могу, да. Ну или можешь скачать NVDA, это бесплатная опенсорсная штука, но представление даст. Там прикол в том, что ею многие пользуются, но ставят массу плагинов (не я, я предпочитаю JAWS).

@lnkr Конечно, гуляем, ещё как. Там есть такое понятие, как виртуальный курсор, он же режим обзора в некоторых скринридерах. Грубо говоря, клавиатура освобождается под быстрые клавиши, и получается h — заголовок, b — кнопка, l — список и т.д. соответственно, буква перепрыгивает на следующий, буква с Шифтом на предыдущий. стрелки вверх и вниз не прокручивают страницу именно так, как обычно, а читают этот самый виртуальный вид. Если реально во всём этом хочешь разобраться, можно тебе небольшую экскурсию на видеозвонке потом устроить будет.

@lnkr Не, оно никак не связано. Ну вот то, что я сейчас использую, называется TweeseCake (https://tweesecake.app), но их много таких, ну хватает, во всяком случае. Идея такая: ты авторизуешься на Мастодоне, вводишь код в десктопный клиент и пользуешь. Причём есть два интерфейса (так повелось с давних твиттерских времён): обычный, как у всех, и невидимый, когда ты можешь просто по горячим клавишам выводить инфу прямо на скринридер. Собственно, я пользуюсь именно невидимым. Есть пять минут — походил по ленте Мастодона, дальше работать пошёл.

@lnkr Ну такое. Я веб-клиентами особо не пользуюсь (использую поделки, которые слепые для слепых пишут — собственно, поэтому был массовый исход из Твиттера, это основная причина на самом деле, возможность написать свой клиент под API). Но то, что я вижу, мне не нравится. Интерфейс не интуитивный, есть недоступные элементы.

@lnkr Понял, принял) Да, ты прав по поводу доступности, это хороший путь. Единственное, что бесконечная лента должна быть отключаемой, кучу головной боли мы с ней имеем постоянно, где бы она ни встречалась, уже до ChatGPT эта зараза, похоже, докатилась.

@lnkr Ага, зобанили меня леваки-с) Кстати, что легче, русский или английский, бо мне всё равно. Да ну, вот ещё, конечно, протестирую этот веб-клиент хотя бы из благодарности, что кому-то не наплевать на доступность (это редкость). А вообще смотри(те?) в сторону WCAG 2.2 level AA. Самое простое: все кнопочки помечаем, картинки значимые альтуем, незначимые (декорацию) пишем alt="", заголовки обязательны, области семантически ну крайне желательны (для уровня accessible as fuck — обязательны). Я имею в виду <header>, <main>, <article> или соответствующие ARIA-роли.
