FACT: Anti-AI is bullshit and AI haters are simpletons.
“The people in favor of this watermarking for text have been sold a pipe dream, a fantasy. I’ve encountered dozens of comments from angry AI haters (many of them on Bluesky in particular, but also Threads and Hacker News) who are convinced that the only people who could be against the watermarking of AI-generated text are those who are duplicitously passing off AI-generated text as their own writing — and thus that I must be upset only because the jig will soon be up for me too. This of course is not true. I don’t even use AI to write text messages or emails for me, let alone a single sentence of my work.
But I find it funny that so many people who claim to believe that LLMs only produce “slop” and never anything useful also seem 100 percent convinced that the same LLMs are capable of watermarking their output in reliable ways. These people so desperately want to be able to point a finger at AI-generated text that they’ve fallen hook, line, and sinker for the argument from Google and Anthropic that, thanks to them, they’ll be able to.”

@cronopioos si l'URSSAF ne me prenait pas tant d'argent… Mais j'essaie de faire ce que je peux quand même. Je ne peux pas refuser à une personne sans-abri quand il ou elle demande à manger. Même lorsqu'on était au fond, on achetait quelque chose pour eux. Je suis trop sentimental peut-être, mais je pense toujours à ce jeune homme. Nous lui avons payé son petit repas à Carrefour, et puis il nous a dit ça : « Merci maman, merci papa! ». Ça m'a touché profondément.

I like talking politics also, but in our times it becomes tougher and tougher, as many people tend to take bold actions if you disagree with them politically. Long story short: I'm pro-Occidental, pro-American, pro-European, leaning right.
I'm in the beginning of develloping our small business (together with my wife, of course). We have some smaller pieces of software and libraries, also my wife has finished a hexalogy (six-book series) of fantasy novels, for now in Russian, but I hope we'll find ways to translate at least into English and French.
