conclusion: don't use this word for anything tech-related, it's pointless (quod erat demonstrandum).

Minor annoyance: when people say "slop" it can mean any of

- bad output produced by an LLM without human supervision
- uninspired output produced by an LLM without human supervision
- output produced by an LLM without human supervision
- output produced by an LLM
- bad output regardless of how it was produced
- uninspired output regardless of how it was produced
- someone, somewhere is actively enthusiastic about LLMs
- someone, somewhere didn't state that they hate LLMs
- someone, somewhere didn't state that they hate LLMs *enough*
- an LLM was used somewhere in the process of producing an output, but not on the output itself
- an LLM was executed somewhere in the vicinity despite it never having been requested (looking at you, copilot)

And I'm sure more that I'm not thinking of.

Which means that every time I see the word "slop" I'm given homework to figure out *what* you mean. The world was diluted beyond any usefulness, except in small circles where people all use it to mean the same. But I keep seeing people arguing because they mean different things when they say the same word.
